David Wells (and therefore Bob) talks a lot about the transcendence of God. That He is a God who is holy and above, not just our buddy pal. I didn't fully grasp that until we read this verse the other day:
"...he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen. " 1 Tim 6:15-16
May we not take it lightly that the unapproachable has come to us and reconciled us to Himself.
